Deutschlandstipendium - Talent meets funding

The Deutschlandstipendium is an initiative of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) intended to promote a new funding culture. High-performing, socially committed students from different disciplines and all nationalities receive support for their education. Aside from good academic performance, applicants’ personal circumstances are also taken into consideration during the selection process. Scholarship holders receive EUR 300 a month for at least one year - scholarships are equally funded by private sponsors (companies, foundations and associations, private individuals) and the federal government.

Would you like to contribute to the Deutschlandstipendium, support and get to know our university’s young talents? We look forward to hearing from you and are happy to provide further information in a face-to-face meeting.

  • Please note: On 30 April 2021, the Technische Universität Berlin has been the victim of an IT attack. Current information can be found at https://www.tu.berlin/en/themen/restricted-it-services/.
Due to the limitations, there are changes in the Deutschlandstipendium: The online-application for students for the funding year 2021/2022 has been delayed. Applications could be submitted from 13 October to 2 November 2021, 1 p.m.. The selection process will last until the beginning of 2022. We expect to award 131 Deutschlandstipendium scholarships for the funding year 2021/2022 will therefore probably not be awarded until the beginning of the winter semester. We would like to express our sincere thanks to all donors for their support.
    (as of 18 November 2021)
  • Ten years Deutschlandstipendium - ten years of close cooperation between universities, donors and the federal government to support and promote young talents. A number of articles and interviews commemorating this anniversaryhttps://www.deutschlandstipendium.de/de/10-jahre-2033.html are published on the website of the Federal Ministry for Education and Research. TU Berlin has been involved in the program since its inception. 1,062 Deutschlandstipendium scholarships have been awarded to students at TU Berlin over this ten-year period. This has been made possible thanks to total contributions of more than 1.9 million euros.
