Deutschlandstipendium - Talent meets funding

Since the start of the scholarship program, 1,062 students of TU Berlin were honored with a Deutschlandstipendium, 150 of them in the current 10th funding period 2020/2021. The Deutschlandstipendium scholarships are awared to high-performing and dedicated students in various disciplines.

Scholarship holders receive EUR 300 a month for at least one year - a scholarship is equally funded by private sponsors (companies, foundations, associations and private individuals) and the federal government. Funding is independent of personal or parental income and does not affect the BAföG allowance.

You can find details about the scholarship program, the selection criteria, and the application process at TU Berlin as well as the call for applications for the 11th funding year 2021/2022 on the following pages.

Please note:
On 30 April 2021, TU Berlin was the target of a cyberattack. It will be some months before we will be able to work again at full capacity. You can find the latest information at https://www.tu.berlin/en/themen/restricted-it-services/. [3]

The Deutschlandstipendium program has also been affected by the restrictions to IT services. It has not yet been possible to apply for the funding year 2021/2022 (11th funding year). However, we aim to award a limited number of scholarships, starting this winter semester. Online applications are expected to take place in at the end of September. If you are interested in applying, please see the information on the website Application. [4] We recommend that you take care of the required evidence at an early stage. (Notice for students of TU Berlin: You can now retrieve your certificate of enrollment in the self-service section of the tuPORT portal. Students in the SAP pilot degree programs Physics and Historical Urban Studies can also access their transcripts of records. Students of all other degree programs will receive their certificate of progress upon request from the Examination Office. Please allow a few days for processing. For further information please see the above website [5].)

As soon as we have an exact schedule for the awarding of the Deutschlandstipendium scholarships 2021/2022 and deadline for applications, we will inform you here. In the meantime, we kindly ask you to check our website regularly for information and to refrain from making specific inquiries.
