Corona Pandemic and Student Mobility

Due to the corona pandemic, the German government issued a general warning against all travel in March.

In March 2020 the Berlin Senate has prohibited all students from commencing a period of study abroad as part of one of the university's programmes during the coming weeks/months. See www.tu-berlin.de/?212686. Approvals for funding have been be withdrawn, including grants for internships abroad.

Since June 23, 2020, though, we are allowed to support internship abroad stays as long as travel restrictions for the respective destination are not/no longer in force. See Reisewarnung des Auswärtigen Amtes.

However, please be aware that at the moment no one is able to provide reliable information about how the situation may develop over the coming months. We will update you as soon as we receive information from third-party funding organizations.

Stay safe!

Internships Abroad

An internship abroad comes along with various advantages at one time. On top of gaining practical experiences, you will improve both your language skills and your intercultural competences. Extra bonus: you can easily start your international network.

Internships within Europe can be funded by ERASMUS+ grants. The PROMOS programme can help to finance your internship overseas.
